It's probably one of the reasons they're so Hell-bent on it, come to think of it.

Early voting is consolidated into fewer locations than the voting precincts on Election Day.

What you do is you vote for the lesser evil for president now, and then you vote for people who are actually good in local races in hopes of building a base of support for better presidential choices (and replacing first-past-the-post) later. At least, that's what you do if you're actually operating in good faith and aren't a pro-fascist troll.

Now quit whining about it, 'cause that doesn't actually do any fucking good.

Man, fuck that judge!

(Read it once as an expression of derision, then again as literal advice.)

And back in the day photography wasn't a thing.

They could construct a camera obscura and trace it, though.

Oh shit, I forgot about that. Myst was the crowning achievement of HyperCard (which is still superior to PowerPoint, BTW).

You weren't misgendering; you were meming. Modifying one part of "the man, the myth, the X" to adapt it to the situation is fine and good, but when you start swapping out too much of it ("the X, the myth, the Y" -- or worse, "the X, the Y, the Z") you lose the reference.

I went to vote today in Georgia USA. People showed up wearing bed sheets over them. What is this supposed to communicate exactly??

Ian Brossat, a former Paris councillor and now a senator representing the French Communist party, called for SUVs to be banned in Paris. “This is not the first incident of its kind, and the dangerous nature of SUVs has already been pointed out on several occasions. We owe it to this young man to realise the scale of the problem and draw all the consequences,” Brossat told the Nouvel Obs.

This store just opened up a few months back, and they had zero bike parking.

I emailed their head office, saying that I was planning to shop there, but not until they added a bike rack.

Went to check last night, and boom! Bike rack!

It’s easy to understand if you realize that America is essentially a corporation rather than a country, and that country is only representing its shareholders.

In case you’re confused - if you’re not rich and powerful, you’re not a shareholder. You’re an employee or a commodity or an expense, and you exist to enrich the shareholder class.
