I've never been but I have known people who had flings in games and got their main characters married for fun. There's also irl couples that do it too and it's cute. But I imagine there has to be some online divorces out there, how do they split the raid loot in the divorce?

I spent my teenage years scamming people in RuneScape by promising to be their girlfriend for some mithril armor

Hell yeah, I had a friend do that in Everquest for free stuff.

Back in the day, in one of those K-Grinder MMOs that used to be all the rage. Gave my guild mate and I extra EXP, even more if we were partied up, and had some extra shit like special emotes and a title.

Can't say it was worth it. Like a month later, they quit, so it was kinda pointless to do.

Did attend a couple FFXIV weddings. Those were fun, if you were into RP.

Yeah I got married in Nexus TK, you could teleport to your spouse with the wedding rings even in areas that blocked summoning people in.

You still in touch with that person?

Nah, still check in with WoW friends that I've known for like 20 years though.

It was a lot harder to keep tabs on online friends in 1999.
