I think the consensus is generally that it's better data analysis but most of the journalistic team is gone. Still plenty of solid stuff. I would say it's probably competitive with a couple of other similarly lightweight models and teams/individuals. Nate Silver's kind of gone off the deep end since he least.

His facts weren't wrong. The UAW has just changed their tune since yesterday.

This is about polls. Not democrats speaking publicly.

Calling the progressive wing of the party corporate democrats is just straight up in denial.

This argument is nonsense. It works for them and not for us because they are FASCISTS. This relationship with the truth and cult of personality are essential tenants of fascism. No amount of whataboutism will solve the Biden's electoral issues.

doesn’t even care if their candidate raped a child and tried to overthrow their government

It's right there. It's because his voters don't care. Calls to drop out from a faction Trump calls 'the enemy of the people', is a huge waste of time.

Yes but she's capable of actually campaigning. Expectations have been clear since the debate. If he got right out there and started campaigning immediately, he'd probably be doing fine. It's becoming clear however that he can't.

Let your heart guide you.

The party leaders aren't the ones preventing a move on Biden. Basic support for Biden is tantamount to no action at this point but they are generally taking a wait and see approach. Im mostly taking about the political influencers telling you not to believe your eyes and ears.

What's wrong with Kamala? Seems like Progressives have largely gotten over her record as AG. That's why they hid her in the first place.

Nobody is making that argument. You were the person the op was taking about. Nobody's going to vote trump over Palestine.

Personally i think they're just as scared as we are. They're just too fucking old to have a realistic picture of the political landscape. Gen X is going to get us all killed.

Toxic man: oh guess I am just gunna keep doing what I am doing if you aren’t going to tell me what to do.

The reason this comes up is that masculinity is largely based around externally conferred social status. You have to constantly be doing something to maintain an image of masculinity. Often this means some sort of social or physical violence in the right time or place (beat up the mugger to defend your partner, call out your boss when you're being treated unfairly, put rival men in their place). Just as frequently, however, it is the expectation of a certain amount of self sacrifice (paying for meals, military service).

What they don't understand is how anyone can expect them to maintain their social status when they are avoiding this role that they have been explicitly shown that there will be consequences if they fail to meet. The answer is simple: once you're out of the masculinity rat race, you're out. By refusing to take part in the hierarchy of dominance you will eventually be subject to a more general and, frankly, human set of standards.

The only problem is that all of these pressures are external in the first place and this whole dynamic creates strong social gender boundaries. It is very easy for a lot of men to look at their social circles and see exclusively people who punish them for a failure to live up to a masculine ideal.
