I mean it works pretty flawlessly for me and I make music all the time. Some plugins don't work the best but most of them are working well

For plugins there is "yabridge"

Bitwig is by far the best option on linux rn. Ardour is too barebones and focused on recording rather than midi

Why do you bring this up here then

Are you implying vaccines cause cancer

bandcamp and piracy are still the main routes. try to look at the artist's soundcloud too for links to what they use. some genres (like trance for me) still heavily use soundcloud

Bassboost and deepfrying are already outdated and old memes by now

When we are talking about indie dev communication, this is mostly those kind of things that are being referred to. I think we do agree tho that discord was a very bad medium for that.

Mastodon sounds good for this. Gitlab, github and forgejo are completely inappropriate tools to do a game devlog on often closed-source projects and answer gameplay related questions

We're talking gamedev to player communication, not dev to dev

I posted a few weeks ago my old hyprland config. Decided to go ahead and and remake it, switching from catppuccin color scheme to tokyo night!

Background image is from Omori, modified to fit the color scheme. Terminal and general UI font is Monaspice Neon.

My favorite games are Omori, Disco Elysium and Outer Wilds. I cried for hours at the end of those games, and I think the common point in them is high-quality emotional writing and stellar OST (music really affect me) and my attachment to the characters.
I also found that my taste in movies was similar (Hana-bi by Takeshi Kitano is my favorite movie)
I've been trying to find something similar, so has anybody any recommendation?
I'd like to add that I basically hated Nier Automata (way too pretentious imo) and Before your Eyes (I wasn't a fan of the game concept, and found the story pretty weak), and really loved the horror aspects of Omori.
I also heard about To the moon, but games talking about disease are hard for me to enjoy
