I ran Gentoo on our Ryzen 5800X computer... But we had to stop with that because after all my tinkering we didn't have a usable enough system capable of doing the things we needed, like running Steam.

I have developed a love/hate relationship with portage. It's very powerful letting you get at all the compiler flags. I like that. But it was too unwieldy also and parts of it felt a little outdated.

What I need for my workstation is something that is very powerful and efficient but also highly robust and stable enough to serve as the base for all my usages.

Maybe I'll try Funtoo. Thought about NixOS or something but don't want to do that really.

Looks like the creator of Gentoo has a YouTube: Daniel Robbins / BDFLFUN2

What do you think? This is totally for defense am I right.

When are amerikkkans and low level storm troopers gonna wake up.

Maybe there should be a Shit Imperialists Say channel.

Up the speed if you want to listen to him.

He talks about having some background on economics in college. And when talking vaguely in the past he got kinda based and anti establishment without veering off to the right.

But this video is cringe. He criticized socialism seemingly without knowing what it is. He incorporated the national inflation number into his annual downturn percentage calculation for Intel. I'm not an economist but I also don't see how those numbers apply. He repeated some eh about China.

He talks about markets like some type of libertarian. This guy has probably never read any socialist theory and it shows.

I've been really enjoying all his videos and they are useful and he has some pretty good takes and useful techniques and knowledge. This one disappointed me tho. Hope he levels up his politics. It's totally absent a whole perspective.

These are the bamboos I dug up from the neighborhood. I planted them in a pot. And I hope to get some affordable wood stock from these.

Also yesterday when me and dad were hiking I took a branch of manzanita which I prepared by shaving and planting with rooting hormone and fertilizer. If that goes well I will share.
