Thank you for the feedback and the testimony β original blog post author right here π I'm glad to hear you were pleasantly surprised and I appreciate the tips about opensource.com and The Cathedral and the Bazaar - made a note to look it up and read it.
one more interoperability test, this time from Lemmy.world to a self-hosted new Friendica instance. Hello @jerry@my-place.social - let me know if you get this! π
π₯³π₯³π₯³ grazie! π
Original article author here ππΌ thank you for posting the link to it @Ludrol@szmer.info - I was afraid what the reactions may be π
Iβm writing this from the iOS app Voyager - interestingly, I didnβt get any notifications about the mention (my Lemmy username) but found the post organically because I follow the Fediverse community.
After a day of testimonies (from users on Lemmy, Mbin, Mastodon and Friendica) I am now determined to write a follow-up post with more interoperability tests.
I realize some of the problems I encountered - federation-wise - may be due to the particular instances I was using (on Lemmy and Friendica for example) not the software, so Iβm going to create new accounts on other instances and try out interoperability again.
By the end of this I may find myself with a dozen Fediverse accounts LOL π
Thank you again for the great feedback and tips, I really appreciate π
two more: @elena@fedia.io @elena@piefed.social
Testing out comment federation, please don't mind me π
Pinging @_elena@mastodon.social @elena@friendica.opensocial.space and @elenarossini@pixelfed.social (because, why not) π
interesting! thank you for the tip :)
Thank you for the explanation! May I quote you in my (future) blog post about Lemmy?
I'm holding out hope that one single Fediverse identity will be a possibility in the future. Discussion here: https://thenewstack.io/one-login-towards-a-single-fediverse-identity-on-activitypub/
Hello! Apologies for the belated reply but I was out of town and offline most of the weekend. Yes I'm seeing this in Lemmy too (and Mastodon). Gotta check PieFed now :)
