I'm a casual GIMP user. What are the key benefits of v3?

Did another test today, this one for AsianCrush - 49-minute program with 9 minutes of ads, so about 18%

I emailed olympics.com and they referred me to their "Olympic Studies Centre" but neither knows the answer. "The AIN anthem has been independently produced by the IOC as mentioned during the IOC press conference on 19 March. The IOC holds all rights for this. Unfortunately, we don't have more information to share about this anthem."

Here's the official statement from March, which includes the MP3 file, but no other information. https://olympics.com/ioc/news/ain-eligibility-review-panel-established-by-ioc-eb-paris-games-time-protocol-elements-agreed-on #Paris2024 #Olympics

Thanks for looking into it. The "low-res previews" are on sites like this https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-024-01223-0

Seems similar to the one released in 2022. I've searched for 15 minutes to try to find a new download or purchase link, without any luck! All the news stories just have low-res previews.

Thought this might be a helpful discussion for those who want to cut down on advertising breaks when they have multiple options to watch a show or movie. Below are my results for Tubi, followed by a summary of this subject's URL, which someone tested in 2021.

My results today (3/19/24) for The Mental State (2022) https://tubitv.com/movies/100016371/the-mental-state Film length: 104 minutes. By my stopwatch, ads totaled 11m44s (approx 90s/ea), about 12 minutes between each ad break. So I spent about 10% of the time watching ads. Compare to about 6% on the 2021 survey below.

Anyone else want to watch The Mental State or something else on one of the services below and report their results?

Copying this from someone in 2021 who did a survey on a 44-minute tv episode:

Tubi - 2:51
Peacock - 4:12
IMDB - 5:41
Plex - 6:40
VUDU - 7:08
Crackle - 8:07
Roku - 8:28 (test performed by KyloRenegade16)
Pluto - 12:27
The CW - 12:34

Can you elaborate? Is it because Germany has regulations against all the bloatware?

Anyone else having trouble streaming the films of each Olympics? I sent a help request through the official contact page, but doubt I'll ever hear back about it. I've turned off adblockers and tried private windows and different browsers, but nothing works.

Now that the "1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die" series has ended indefinitely, I'm switching over to "They Shoot Pictures Don't They?" Not finding a primary discussion board for it, though, other than maybe Letterboxd.

I always forget the speed differences (and other specs) for ethernet cables. I can find what I need from various sources, but I haven’t been able to find a good chart with the info I want to print out at work. Most likely I’ll create my own, but I’m curious what’s already out there.

Looks like we’re up to CAT8 now, with limit of 30meters, whereas CAT7 and lower are all 100m at their base speeds. Here’s my basic cheatsheet:

CAT5 - 100Mbps, 100 Mhz

5e - 1Gbps

6 - 1Gbps (10Gbps < 55meters), 250 Mhz

6a - 10Gbps, 500 Mhz

[2nd attempt at posting. Timed out earlier.]
