Thank you all for the advice I had bad feelings about these anyways Lenovo for the win!

A year ago today I made my Lemmy account

I now have a Mastodon, a Pixelfed, a bookwyrm, and a Peertube account. I switched off of most google services to privacy respecting ones. A week ago I bought a laptop to run Linux mint on.

And I couldn’t be happier here’s to another year of the Fediverse!

Hello all I just started running Linux Mint and I’m trying to install LibreWolf. I ran the commands I was told on the website but it fails every time am I doing something wrong? And how do I fix it thanks!

I’m trying to find a pair between 100-200$,decent sound, a pair that will last, and optionally a pair which aren’t a total pain to repair. Fairbuds are my first choice but they’ve not available in my region so what are my other options?

Google appears to have blocked sign-ins from LibreWolf is there a fix for this or am I outta luck?

Like instead of google docs or google sheets use this?

I got a bunch of DVDs my local library was getting rid of and there are a few very obscure ones that I would like to archive. However I am unsure how to get the data from the DVD into a shareable format what’s the easiest way to do this? Thanks!

Finally glad to find somewhere to talk about this.

Duck duck go was my first step towards privacy and I used it for years. Sure it had its problems here and there but it was the best I could find. Then they started shoving AI into it and I jumped ship
