I had to google ostretarian, because I had never heard of that one before.

I was surprised that searching for “ostretarian” was one of the few google searches I’ve ever done in which only a single hit came up:

Or two, if you allow google to “expand” the results:

It seems like references come from this article by The Guardian last month:

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2024/sep/12/ill-have-them-with-hot-sauce-should-vegans-eat-oysters

In which it refers to bivalve veganism.

Searching for “bivalve veganism” yields an article from a couple of years ago in which the practice is referred to as “bivalve veganism” or “ostroveganism”

https://www.vegetariantimes.com/news/can-vegans-eat-oysters/

Searching for “Ostrovegan” yields lots of varied results—making me think this chart just has a typo on a word which was just unfamiliar to me.

I spent some time, but at least I learned something new.

We’ve only got three pens, so don’t lose them.

I get an expletive-laden personal attack?

And my original comment gets removed by a moderator?

My comment posited an alternate view point—which, while it did point out potential bias on the part of the OP—it was not positioned in a way which implied anger, or included name-calling or profanities.

Kuori@hexbear.net, the hate seems out of place, yet supported by your moderators. We can do better.

Forbes always has misleading, anti-Apple click bait.

When it comes to Apple-related topics, I never click on Forbes articles. Their coverage is inherently misleading, but that strategy must be generating click-through revenue. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

As long as someone is shredding death metal guitar on the roof throughout the storm, I approve.

Bro got robbed for the science Nobel prize back in ‘86–he literally invented teleportation and got beat out by some dip working on a tunneling microscope.

I’m glad he was able to change gears, focus on medicine, and recover from his fatal shotgun wounds and mutated genes. It’d just be a bit ironic if he used a tunneling microscope in his mRNA work.

I hope this frees up time to invest more time in a passion project for himself. I want nothing but contentment for that guy.

If there‘a an ounce of karmic alignment in this world, Draft Kings will be sponsoring his posthumous induction to Cooperstown.

Fairly thorough, if somewhat dated, list of Siri commands…

I wear my Stainless Steel Series 4 to bed. After updating to watch OS 10, I noticed it would not accept Siri commands for my HomeKit accessories.

I only wear it to bed, so I just chalked it up to an early bug and ignored it.

After loading each update between 10.0 and 10.1, the issue has persisted.

When opening the Home app on the the watch, it would just show the clean energy info at the top of the display and at the bottom it would indicate I haven’t set up any home accessories (I have tons, and they all work on my Ultra Watch and all other devices).

So, I decided to erase all content and setting and set up as new.

Now, the Home app isn’t even installed on the Watch, and does not appear in the list of apps in the Watch app on my phone.

I didn’t notice anything about HomeKit or Home app support being discontinued or unsupported in Watch OS 10 on older models.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I have an antique desk which has three locks and a single key.

My key continues to work for one of the locks, but when inserted into the other two lock key ways, the key will not turn in either direction (will basically wiggle a millimeter or so in either direction, but does not start to actually turn).

I am a very amateurish lock picker—I can rake a basic lock or use a snap gun, but this lever/mortise lock is very different from anything I have tried to pick before.

I should mention that I used the working lock to confirm that the key fully inserts into the other two locks before attempting to turn the key.

I’ve tried looking up tools for picking this lock and watched some YouTube videos.

I am curious if anyone with experience picking this sort of lock might offer some advice on tools to get or improvise.

I’m including a photo of the key to help identify what might be needed.

Any advice is appreciated.
