So glad we got an actual statesmen in Biden who went on to [checks notes] make life significantly worse??

Good point. They actively participated in genocide.

I know his issues, but I don't regret my support for him. It feels like we had to have a failed Social Democratic movement in order to accelerate the development of socialists in the US. Like we had to eat shit in order to develop.

Bernie is all in on the entities "right" to defend itself Forget that world we wished for. It was not real. It was always a fantasy.

he was a real socdem, and he gave people (americans, certainly not the rest of the world) real hope for a moderately better life.

succeed or fail he would have given us a lesson on the limitations of succdem-ery, but in failing I think he put more people on an accelerated path to becoming a communist than winning would have

I've got a good photo somewhere in an email to my mom from 2015 when I happened to be in Boston and ditched part of a convention for a Sanders rally further down the bay and 20000 people showed up BibleThump

yeppppp

I feel like half this site has one of these

I was in to support our man and saw a very inspiring chapo live show that year, in addition to a bernie rally earlier on. But the inspiration lasted, even as my opinion of Sanders fell precipitously. For all the flaws of the podcast, they are true believers and can be inspiring at times, and the camaraderie of singing solidarity forever with 1000 fellow comrades will not fade
