Why does a medical journal need to be powered by crypto currency?

I've read their documents, apparently they accept fees in Bitcoin cash. I mean that's great, but I wouldn't call the journal crypto powered, the journal could operate perfectly fine without crypto. Accepting crypto is fine, and laudable

Because authors, editors, and reviewers from around the world can easily and cheaply be paid for their work without the nightmare of trying to go through the legacy banking and payment system.
