Tangent, but most of our primates enjoy non-sexual touch and the rise in homophobia—or something idk—has left a lot of men afraid of even a hug. Check out old pics of guys with their buddies. What have we done to ourselves?

Hermeneutic of suspicion. Interesting social phenomenon. I've worked in my adult life to fight against it. I hug my male friends, tell them I love them if I feel it, fuck all the toxicity. I know I'm straight, so who gives a shit if some sensitive bitch "alpha male" gets super self conscious if he sees it?

Interestingly we do it all the time here in Pakistan. Showing love to your male friends and hugging is a certified alpha big boy move here cuz it tells that you are not boy enough to be shy or cringe from hugging
