You can thank american imperialism ;).

There are NO first-world countries without paid public healthcare.

It's our obsession with personal profit. It doesn't matter what your economic model is called. When you maximize gain at the cost of everything else you weaken the integrity of the very foundation that it exploits.

What about Switzerland and Japan?

I stand by my statement. If you are paying out-of-pocket, it's a 3rd world country that is siphoning you for literal blood money.

How are imperialism and healthcare related lol

Out of the thousands of examples... let's pick one close to (your) home

Johnson & Johnson to pay $5bn in landmark $26bn US opioid settlement

Where did they get the opium?

Afghanistan: How much opium is produced and what's the Taliban's record?

Why did you invade Afghanistan? Hint, it starts with an I.

Are you dense? Do you think publicly funded heath care would reduce this? The two aren't connected directly

And I'm Australian lmao

If you're asking in good faith, consider picking up a book.

Nice dodge. Recommend any books or do you just say that so you don't have to articulate your own points?
