Pretty fucking disappointing considering I like metal in general but specifically referring to 'because anything exceptional gets crushed by common people, with jealousy and ignorance and all their common evils' then again down the line they spit out 'Androgny and insults, you try so hard to be difficult' ... Good thing it's garbage compared to a lot of their shit and it's only the chorus that gets played for 'thirsty' tik toks... But goddamn, is being goth emo punk etc not a form of queer expression? Stg I'm gonna end up only listing to polyphia, animals as leaders, whoever tf, so long as it's only instrumental because fuck this shit. Maybe I'll go through and finish kmfdm posting as a cleanser. Like who tf did they piss off because they were being a bigot and got push back. Like good you got the bare minimum of what you deserve. Link because I'm not a lib, but really didn't want to bother linking it... Really disappointed

Only tangentially related to what you're talking about, but I used to have a lot of respect for bands/musicians who "stayed in their home town even after they made it big" which Slipknot is probably one of the biggest examples of, but for some weird reason in the last few years I feel like I keep hearing sus-shit about every prominent example of it.

Expressed this sentiment to a friend of mine who actually does some music promotion stuff and said it's a bit of a "meme" in the music industry, if you move to NYC or LA you're gonna be around other artists at or above your fame level who may criticize or call you out so you have these dudes who decided they'd rather be the biggest rock star in Tulsa OK where their "home-boy" fame lets them feel like a big fish in a small pond. Idk if that's actually a widespread thing or just some trend me and my random friend imagined.

Nothing sus has come out about Turnstile yet so I'm crossing my fingers shrug-outta-hecks
