still works for me
Same here. My understanding is that reddit is quietly allowing 3rd party apps for anyone that is or was previously a moderator because of the mod tools that the official app is lacking. As a former mod, apparently I get to keep it, at least until they change their mind.
Probably what's happening, kind of ironic when you think about this whole debacle
I'm a former mod, too. (I created a subreddit years ago as a meme and almost immediately abandoned it.) I'm still able to use Boost for Reddit. Though I'm limiting my usage by a lot.

no patches, I still have the same app which used to be in the play store and it still operates normally
Still working fine here, too, but only on my two mod alts. My non-mod account just gets some kind of "request exceeded" error.
