GOP senators came out of a meeting with Zelenskyy unconvinced on supporting more aid to Ukraine. They called for more stringent immigration measures.

I prefer getting downvotes, because it indicates I'm telling the truth and people are hating having to come face to face with it. You can always tell you've told the truth by how many people are angry about it. If people didn't downvote my comments, they'd be pretty useless.

What a stupid attempt at explaining away terrible opinions.

It could conceivably work if your audience was terrible people and you were pointing out something positive, but thinking that is a general rule shows you just want to troll people.
