I'm happy that we(Ukrainians) didn't have these defeatist thoughts when the war started.
Well I was being defeatist to make a point. Either we help fund Ukraine now or we all lose in a huge way in the end. It looks like our fellow Americans have voted to lose and concede our powers to Russia. So why not join them instead of fighting them.
I understand that the point you're trying to make, and I understand why you're doing it this way. It still hurts to read something like that.
It should hurt, it's supposed to. What good would it be if my words had no impact at all. At least you get my point - unlike 99.9 percent of the rabble on this site.

Your fellow Americans haven't decided shit. Public opinion is overwhelmingly in favor of Ukraine. A handful of Republicans have decided that their bit of kompromat and pocket change is more important than the trajectory of world politics. You want to be mad at someone, be mad at them, and let's make sure their history and policy choices are reflected when they're up for reelection.
It clearly is, and that's my point. In America, public opinion is heavily in favor of the Ukraine. A handful of Republicans have decided to hold the rest of us hostage to their own ends and because it lines their pockets. I am mad at them, that was the whole point of my original post. I think my sarcasm is sometimes lost on people.
