Hi Team!

โ€‹

I have in my hands an oldie: an IBM x3200 M3 server. Working as new, barely used and good enough to run some VMs and/or containers and some XWindows apps.

Thing is the integrated graphics card is horribly bad, Matrox G200eV with 16MB of ram.

It has a couple of PCI ports and a couple of PCIe x8 Gen 2 half-length. I would like to pop into the latter a Graphics card. Nothing crazy, 2GB-4GB at most with no additional power connections within the card needed. I haven't found any graphic card in that format and I am wondering, can I use a half length to full length adapter for this? Is this even possible? has someone tried?.

Thanks!
