So I know we can post text and images using the link button, but it would be nice to confirm what’s being pasted before uploading. A show clipboard, or a small preview of the clipboard would be nice.

Currently when pasting an image into a Lemmy post, it only shows a Lemmy URL before committing, not the image. Kind of unnerving when you’re thinking “did I copy the right image for this post, or is it about to upload something I don’t want it to?”

I have that turned on. I didn’t see an image preview in the draft post, just a Lemmy URL. I didn’t choose a photo from my device — this was an image copied to the clipboard. Don’t know if that makes a difference.

Thanks for the info. That's not the intended behavior; we'll make sure it works properly in Mlem v2. Sorry about that!
