When I worked for Walmart 25 or so years ago, they supposedly had something like this, but it manifested as us worrying about getting in trouble. Not sure if that was legit but I was pretty young and didn't interact with them.

The waffle house I ate at, they did have higher ups come in, and they had to serve and what not. The folks working there seemed to like it but idk I just was a regular, never officially worked.

I get it not everyone has the ... experience

This is really what it boils down to. I never had this issue as a mechanic, but I didn't generally use pinch welds as a jack point. Most vehicles have numerous options for using a floor jack. You could use a control arm, or cross member, or sometimes a drivetrain component. Additionally, sometimes the pinch weld has a designated spot for jacking that seems to be reinforced.

Maybe what you are saying only applies to newer vehicles and I am out of date. Totally possible! I did not experience this 10+ years ago, tho. Only on exceptionally rusty cars that the driver would be challenged to install thr spare on the side of the road.

I read a different article, but my suspicion is that they expect more clarity to come out of further lower court action. I still think they will block it, but maybe they dont see any impact on the election or critical importance now forcing them to act. I'm not sure. I doubt they care about grandkids but am sure you know that 🙂

Found the Aussie? My dad referred to water bottle holders as thongs.

I'm not sure if it applies to journalism, but when I do things like write reports about medicals I was involved in, I write like that. Usually because that person goes on to definitive care and I don't know how they fared. Patient was found in this location, services were called, patient was transported to hospital. It feels robotic, but idk how best to handle it.

I dont like that voting third party in the US is essentially a non-vote for a party in the "system," but it is. I voted green party in the past, and ended up regretting it. And relavent to Stein, not a good person, or even party, to vote for now. Folks need to be active, and vote down ballot, and in "off cycle" years. Change takes time, the best way to be heard is through the down ballot when helpful.

On my first smart phone ca. 2014, I had Here Maps (a Nokia product I think?). I didn't have any data plan, and that mapping service didn't require it. I don't think I ever used it, but that may be the first. Otherwise, earlier this year I used my work phone and whatever it has for navigation. I hated it 😅 I clearly liked knowing directions more then one turn out.

I'll admit that I dont understand the now long running deal with speed running things like this, but if done safely and respectfully, I also dont see the harm. What is important is impact to the resource, and that is the main issue. That transcends folks like this. If she can pass that ethic along with this record, I'm for it.

It's a major world city with a history of corruption. All of this is big. There may even be others involved we don't know about.

My time in Mtn city was that only half the town even had cell phone service haha. Food Lion? Ya, maybe in some of the parking lot. Food City? Nope. I could make a phone call at the bar out by Midway but not in most of the town. Hope you and them fair ok.

Zelensky's body language was immaculate. True country leader. Were lies stated by Trump? Truths? Possibilities? Impossibilities? 😶️ Zelensky plans for the future and desires no necessary enemies.

I don't use a VPN and they are still highly problematic. I get stuck in a cycle, like with cloudflare.
