It's not just about primes, it's about proving the technologies and techniques needed to verify such a number is prime, which might then be extrapolated to things unrelated to proving things prime.

For example, GIMPS (the organisation behind this find) was a great example of distributed computing long before people had multiprocessor supercomputers in their homes.

But let's not forget the hobby factor. You don't get to decide what other people do for fun. If they want to lend a portion of their computer's runtime to a distributed computing project, that's up to them.

Some people climb tall mountains, and that's not of much use to anyone either.

All their media is hosted under the redditstatic domain, and as far as I can tell, that's hosted on AWS. (There's actually also a redditmedia domain, which they may also use, but that's also on AWS).

That probably means that Reddit can get away with saying they don't host any of it. They merely point their web addresses at the third party host.

Normal human man, just like every other day of the year.

Why yes, this is a very wide smile. Thank you.

Hyponatraemia. As Chubby Emu might put it (and indeed might have), "hypo" meaning low or below, "natrio" meaning sodium and "(h)aemia" meaning blood. Low sodium in the blood. You know those electrolytes they always talk about being good for you? Sodium is one of those.

Basically diluted herself to death.

Pro tip: Flexing leg and feet muscles can cause the body to steal back that blood flow and cause things to settle down.

That said, there's an art to doing that without looking like you're doing something weird. Only you know what's too weird for you, and then aim not to go past half way to that, just in case. Subtlety is key, and when you think you're being subtle, you probably still need to dial it back a notch.

Mental arithmetic or something else unrelated to the situation that moves blood flow to the main brain can also work. Silent brain games on your phone. Sudoku maybe.

Good luck.

Hiroshima was a man-made disaster that happened in 1945.

Chernobyl was a man-made disaster that happened in 1986.

And now generalise for the punchline.

Are you sure? 1.6878×10^4566 is more comics than there are particles in over 10^4488 universes.

Agree about soy. I've tried and liked rice milk on cereal, but it wasn't as good as a milk substitute in hot drinks. Since I prefer not to buy a bunch of different things for both simplicity and storage reasons, I switched everything to soy.

That doesn't mean that the different brands of soy milk are all the same though. Luckily I've found one that works for me.

It's been a while, but one time I had almond milk in rooibos tea* and it made it taste like cake. Can't remember proportions or how much extra sugar or sweetener I had in it but knowing me, the amount wasn't "none".

* tea-like infusion. Rooibos and tea are not related plants.
