Polish one is going quite miserably.

People don’t want to hear that Ukraine will lose with the current level of support. Trinkets in the form of fancy weapons every couple of months do not win attritional war fought with men and artillery.

Apologies for the shitposting.

Blockchain and crypto were worse. „AI” has some actual use even if it’s way overblown.

Promise of 60 FPS with ray tracing sees a pretty quick stumble.

Yes and no. Yuzu had it coming because they bragged about running leaked games and profited from it. Ryujinx was entirely legal and ethical even if they were way early to the game.

Spoiler alert: it’s the definitive edition of Metaphor which could be released as update+DLC but will be released as a brand new game with no upgrade path for existing customers.

I love Atlus but shit’s tiring by now.

Being less worried about appearance in regards to war in Ukraine stems from aspiring to be the voice of global south, at least in my perception. They tend to underscore humanitarian cost and threat of escalation because they don’t have as much historical context as Eastern Europe does, but that doesn’t mean they don’t recognise that the blame is solely on Russia. To them invasion of Ukraine is about as distant as civil war in Myanmar is for someone in Ukraine.

El Pais reminds me of weekly news/political magazines from the time when those were still printed on paper. Their reporting covers majors news, politics but also popular science and culture. What’s nice about them is that they’re don’t publish a story unless it’s reasonably fleshed out. Even though it’s obviously left leaning it doesn’t go overtly partisan like The Guardian.

Technically Mac OS should remember external display layout but can bug out on display ID changing or not being available quickly enough.

I haven’t tried displayplacer but it looks like something that might be worth checking out, especially notes on buggy displays in readme file. If command line is no go then I wouldn’t be surprised if BetterDisplay Pro didn’t have this kind of functionality since I don’t think there is anything display related this thing can’t do.

Yeah, sci-fi stuff was definitely boundary-pushing for a movie. Unfortunately our modern attention deficient brains are not compatible with lots of older movies. It makes me really appreciate classics that stood the test of time. Movies like 12 Angry Men or anything by Hitchcock or Kurosawa keep you at the edge of a seat even today.

They’re definitely pro-Ukraine and pro-Palestine due to basic human decency, just more nuanced and less concerned with appearance because they report from Hispanic / Latino perspective and naturally they’re a bit more detached due to distance.

Fwiw, you'll also notice that one of the union representatives at the end hints that they want government subsidies of some sort.

That would be incompatible with EU common market although with the weight of France I guess rule bending is not out of question. This sounds like a viscous cycle though, trying to outspend China which has fiscal and monetary policy built entirely on stimulating domestic growth, at the cost of crazy capital controls.
