The trial hinged on the following 17 seconds, which saw the Audi reverse a short distance, hitting an unmarked car behind, then accelerate forward, reaching an estimated 12mph before colliding with the BMW and a parked Tesla.

Armed officers were heard shouting "go, go, go" and "armed police, get out of the f***ing car," as they surrounded the vehicle, in footage played in court.

The Audi then reversed at 8mph, hitting the unmarked Volvo behind, and was stationary as Mr Blake pulled the trigger of his carbine less than a second later

I'd rather be a bad programmer that gets stuff done than a good programmer who's just jerking off about proper design

t. good programmer

I understand completely, I don't even update until I need to. In my case, screen capture works more consistently with Wayland than x11.

Xwayland should work basically forever, so there's no reason to rewrite anything. In time those features will get implemented, but I'm guessing you will need to change the scripts to use something other than wmctrl unless that particular program gets updated

If there's a big crash and everyone loses their jobs it's better that a few more people have jobs that pay under a living wage.

It's easier for the government to give a little bit assistance to someone who is underpaid than to pay all of their bills

That only applies during high unemployment, right now there isn't even 4%, really nobody to exploit. Fast food places in California are paying $20/hr starting, much higher than the local $15/hr minimum wage in the cities

What is the use case that doesn't work for you? Mine was Nvidia and now it's working on gnome at least

[–] iopq@lemmy.world 2 points 15 hours ago

I'm fine with this, I've been in countries where there's no tipping and their service is just as good

[–] iopq@lemmy.world -3 points 15 hours ago (6 children)

So labor is worth market value in the labor market?

I agree, then there's no need to change minimum wages for tipped employees

[–] iopq@lemmy.world 0 points 15 hours ago

The poster said nobody should ever work for tips

If only x11 worked well in the first place. But its many flaws are never going to addressed because the developers only work on Wayland

Actors, they had a rehearsal before they filmed it

When is the admin going to run out of excuses?

I've been syncing for days and I'm still 100,000 blocks away. I needed to turn on pruning and a page file just to be able to process them, but it takes forever to download and verify these blocks because they are absolutely huge. At this rate it will take months to sync

I didn't have this issue with bitcoin cash, it synced in a few days.

The first review with all of the actual measurements (ANC, frequency response, passthrough, etc.) and audio samples that I've seen

I don't know why, it doesn't link to the article when I click it
