That is one of the techniques I was taught in a sketching class.

A Horse and His Boy was terrible. Gave up halfway through and put off the series for years. Just desert desert desert lazy Muslim analogue desert desert.

I think Tolkien also wasn’t impressed with the unsubtle ASLAN = JESUS. Lewis gives the vibe of the convert that just has to do THE MOST. When you read like the Abolition of Man, you can tell he thinks of himself as a modern St Augustine.

Honestly called the gov office right after he got the nomination.

I’m a teacher, I want to still be at least, but they’ve made it dangerous for trans people to exist in Oklahoma. There’s currently a court hold on ANY investigation based on gender identity discrimination in schools.

Kamala might fund genocide in Israel. But Trump will fund genocide in Israel, and genocide here.

We can be ideologically pure when we don’t have fascists at the doorstep. Thousands of children just FUCKING VANISHED during Trumps term. What’s going to happen during his second? Texas was (is?) putting barbed wire in the river on the fucking border. Trump will give free rein to murderous politicians (Texas is also about to execute another innocent man btw). People are going to die here.

I genuinely don’t get how we live in the same timeline where Micheal Dukakis being so committed to his position against the death penalty (like during his debate, he said he wouldn’t advocate for it if someone raped and killed his wife) - was considered a weakness. JD has no commitment to anything and there are multiple musical remixes of him talking about how much he doesn’t like his running mate.

Yes. I have very limited/cheap furniture. Almost everything I own comes from discount stores or thrifts. I don’t have an attachment to any of it. I’m debating going the Peace Corps so I don’t really want to own anything that I’ll have to pay to store.

Something that I’ve found works well for sleeping is a tatami mat and futon mattress. It’s best if you can air out the mattress and mat outside occasionally. But you can fold and roll both. You can also stack up layers of those $4 Walmart fleece blankets to adjust coverage.

I worked full time through college. So much that it often interfered with the time that I needed to be spending on study. I still owe $40k.

My ex husband who’s billionaire family paid his tuition while I paid our bills owes nothing of course.

There’s a push to sell off the InfoWars name and branding - to liquidate the entire business to pay off the Sandy Hook families. He plays shell games with money though - even if he’s forced to give up the “InfoWars” name, he will find a way to get back on the air.

He’s just saying the quiet part out loud. Billion dollar corporations have never had any interest in doing anything to solve the climate crisis. Lots of the failure of late stage capitalism is that companies are driving off the cliff. It’s about extracting as much now so that CEOs can live large and hope their progeny gets to colonize Mars (which won’t happen.)

Southern states have had their judiciary replaced with incompetents and yes-men. Regulatory agencies in many states are entirely broken.

It’s also got some somewhat overt Objectivist messaging? Syndrome’s line: “when everyone is super, no one will be.” is fascinating.

Like, you can make an argument that a major message of the film is that some people are born special and more capable than others, and should be alotted special privileges. Syndrome isn’t one of the golden few, and rather than accept that, he attempts to democratize super powers to some extent (although because he’s the bad guy, part of his plan is making money from this).

I love the film, I just get some odd vibes from it at times.

The first time it happened, I wasn’t sure if it was an accident but it has happened again multiple times since.

I have a google account that I use for YouTube because it has premium and that is useful in my work. It also as a long dead Reddit account associated with it.

Multiple times, on my work computer, when I end up on Reddit from google a question, the top right will find my google account, and AUTOMATICALLY LOG INTO REDDIT. I have logged out multiple times.

These is extremely concerning - the fact that I am logged in with google does not consent me to log into Reddit. I do not want that Reddit account associated with my work.

My boyfriend knows absolutely nothing about the series other than that Natalie Portman is in the prequels. He wants to watch the prequels first - he likes her and is convinced you’re supposed to watch them in order.

I’m advocating Machete order (with pre-Special Edition VHS rips), but he really wants to watch Phantom Menace and I’m not sure where to put Rogue One/what other non-mainline material to include.

Do normies tend to like the sequels? I’ve told him upfront that I dislike them immensely, but I’ll tolerate them for him.

This may come across as ridiculous but please understand - I’m just trying to maximize my chance of a couples Han/Chewie Halloween costume this year.
