Thank you network admin! You’re a hero!
I’ve never heard that word used like this, but I think he’s trying to say “boned” which equates to wronged. He (Trump) is wrong though. Weinstein got what he deserved.
Chrome is just a name. It runs on Chromium which is a Google product and open source. Many browser alternatives out there use Chromium under the hood. The point I’m making is that it’s going to be tough to find something not Chromium based that will have all of the features and compatibility that you expect, which makes it tough to recommend other browsers. Firefox and Safari are two that are their own thing, and generally supported, so there’s a start.
A schooner is a sailboat, stupid head.
Thank you so much! I was in good with my company’s IT and the IT Manager told me the same thing. I will take what I can get, but will try for an MSP. Is there a specific job type to look for to find them or just look for help desk or support tech and review the company to figure out if it’s a MSP?
I know about Dice, LinkedIn, Indeed, and I live in Chicago so maybe Built In?
I’m doing Coursera/Google’s IT Support Tech program for their certs while I read the Mike Meyers exam guide and also supplement with Professor Messer.
Awesome! Thank you for this explanation. So it’s mostly just because it’s a redundancy and specific to a certain distro (Ubuntu in this case)?
I don’t use Linux either, but a quick bit of research tells me it’s like an App Store and software that is specific to Linux. It allows for ease of installing/uninstalling programs but it can can run slow, seems redundant to what flatpaks already does, and isn’t fully fleshed out which leads to weird errors.
I’m guessing it’s because Linux is more hands on and this takes some agency away from users who feel like it might hurt privacy?
That’s what I’m reading anyway. Someone who is more familiar can correct me if I am off base.
Yeah buddy! That’s on my list of things to learn (see my response ITT) as well.
Eat slugs, Malfoy!
