The article itself is not a bad read and does not present a boring dystopia to me.

Yes, the person asking the question comes off as a little out of touch (they “inherited and invested” their wealth). Their concern reads to me like a self consciousness that is enhancing any perceived resentment from their friends, but the answer given to their question makes some good points about living with friends who have more (or less) than you do.

But did either of those boomers floss over the corpses of their enemies while huffing insane amounts of galaxy gas, then say “The names Toilet. Skibidi Toilet”. This could be the shot in the arm that the James Bond franchise needed!

I feel like my understanding of today’s youth is in on par with the average game publisher. And for that reason I am not anticipating this game.

Counterpoint: Thor. He blasted lightning out of his hammer, flew, didn’t require oxygen, and had godly strength. He was placed alongside: A guy who can fly in a metal suit. A guy without a jetpack who throws a shield A guy who gets big and angry A regular guy with a bow and arrow A regular chick with a gun

At the time of this team up, Thor was still a cocky jock who had about as much character development as Captain Marvel has had to this point. But no one was concerned about Thor ruining the MCU.

Why is Captain Marvel different?

Ignoring the potential dogwhistle, you have just summarised the issue as outlined in the article. Men are not facing the same issues of discrimination as women in sport.

Michael Phelps can sweep the floor with the competition and everyone admires his ‘wingspan’, but when Imane Khelif began to trounce her opposition due to her impressive physical traits, she is accused of being a trans woman, and bigots become experts in phrenology to try and out a cis woman. Why is one okay and the other not? Should Phelps have to compete in another category for the long-armed? Or be excluded from competing because it’s unfair to the average man?

Representation is important, but also go play with the men if you don’t meet the traditional standards of femininity?

“put me in a terrible position, with no recourse against others who are blatantly and repeatedly stealing my work.”

This is an Onion article, right? No one can be this deliberately and hilariously ironically. Fuck AI, and fuck these techbros.

The obvious setup in this episode is that Teen is Agatha’s child, but I wonder if they are Wiccan, somehow, and their plan is to use The Road to bring back Wanda.

EDIT: apparently the actor has been rumoured to be playing Wiccan for a while. Definitely don’t keep up with rumours and leaks.

When religion tells you that sexual desire is evil, anything that turns you on becomes inherently evil. If you’re a good person, it’s just not possible that you can be attracted to evil things. It must be that thing that is actively tempting you. A serpent trying to drag you to sin. It can’t be YOUR fault. It’s those darned women/trans/children that made you do evil things.

This has been happening forever to women around the world. Cis or Trans.

By working with Midjourney, he adds a human touch to historical storytelling

What part of the process is the human part? The bit where he asks the climate-destroying computer for a picture of a city he admittedly knows very little about? Or is the human part all of the art and images that were used to create a plagiarised AND inaccurate image of history?

The guy walks into a historical building, and upon seeing some art, his first response is “I wonder what that art is about, maybe my followers can tell me”. This is the guy who is creating historical images of the city? The guy who only learnt recently that large ships were not historically seen in the harbour? I’ll admit my knowledge of Amsterdam is lacking, but I’m not trying to pass AI slop off as historically accurate representations of the past.

You want to bring history to life? Ask a historian about the history, and pay an artist to accurately represent the truth.

Implying that this isn’t a great date night…?

To piggyback on previous responses, a common trick I’ve seen in Feywild games is when introducing a new Fey, they would say “You can call me ArgleBargle, may I have your name?”

The trick is that if you give your name to someone in the Feywild, it is no longer yours.
