It tastes good, but i feel pretty guilty doing it

I don't do it often, but pasta with a cream of mushroom or clam chowder soup.

Maybe not too weird, but that's probably as weird as it gets.

They shoot themselves 5 times in the chest while they free fall out the window during their suicide attempt and begin to fear it won't kill them.

If you kick him out, please don't kick him back to Canada. We're sorry he's there, but we don't want him back.

I wonder how things would go if they made you agree to the terms before being allowed to purchase it.

People bring it to the till, and then just hand it back saying nope.

There a lot of reasons to hate Elon. He's making new reasons every day lately.

A lot of people hate him for completely bs reasons like this though and then come off as hating anything he does just for the sake of hating him.

That's why you're supposed to have paper backups. And you audit things.

Edit: I think you could even get a real time audit and still be electronic with backups

  1. You go to machine and vote
  2. It prints off a copy of what you voted and records it (this is the primary vote count)
  3. You verify the paper ballot print off and take it to a second area to be recorded and kept for audits.
  4. Put ballot in second machine which validates and counts the vote and externally shows a counter increase on the machine for votes counted (not who) so you also know this machine counted it for a total.

So now you have the proper vote tallies from 1. The audit of the correct amount of total records from 4. If there's any cause for concern or for auditing, you can manually count the paper ballots.

Imagine Magoos if Jack Dorsey was campaigning for Obama or Biden back when he owned Twitter…

and then stole a @handle to promote them as well.

I feel like something like this from the same organization should be illegal.

You can't advertise contradicting views from the same PAC, because one of them MUST be lying.

And yeah, apparently I had a doppelganger roaming Tulsa in the 90s. I met people who were shocked to see me and friends were shocked to see the other guy. Sounds like our social circles were almost touching.

It doesn't work in the 90s as we didn't all have smartphones but if that happened today I'd beg my friends to take a photo of/with them

Preventing engaging something in bad conditions is a lot easier than what do you do if the conditions suddenly happen.

If it's suddenly foggy it needs to be able to handle the situation well.

Cameras/Lidar don't work well in fog. Radar does, but it isn't a primary sensor and can't be driven on safely alone in any circumstance.

So now you need to slow down (which humans will do) but also since the sensors are failing or insufficient, safely get out of the way of what might be other incoming vehicles behind you, or slow/stopped vehicles ahead of you.

You could restrict hours the system can be engaged which will reduce the likely hood of certain events (e.g morning fog, or sunrise/sunset head on sun) but there's still unpredictability.

If only he'd gone away into obscurity after Jon Stewart got Crossfire cancelled.

The company’s letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) stated the door handles could allow water to enter the circuit board assembly, which may lead to the doors opening unexpectedly.

According to Volkswagen, the production halt could last until the beginning of next year as it works to resolve the issue.

This was a really good interview, worth the watch!

It doesn't say what was changed but that makes it a great price again.

It also really messes up the pricing between the 3 RWD which doesn't qualify and the AWD that does since it's only a 1k difference now. I wonder if we'll see them lower the RWD or potentially raise the AWD price?

So both Rivian and Tesla have or say they are going to have range extenders for their trucks, but in both cases even if they are removable and rentable they are huge as trucks are huge. In teslas case it seems to be a permanent change though.

What about commuter cars though?

One thing we really need is cheaper in city commuters and those don't need a long range. That brings costs down and gets more people into EVs, but those will get relegated to 2nd cars in many cases.

If those commuter cars could go to a shop and get an extender added in the trunk though that would make them much more capable of longer trips as well while keeping costs down.

If the battery rental is similar or less to renting a car for the same period then people would opt to use their own car for the longer trip and all the personal comforts that provides.

The batteries would be much smaller as well for a smaller vehicle.

Really cool look inside the factory!
