A whole bunch of that stuff was already delivered actually. The systems are probably the big thing that hasn't been delivered yet.

I was just thinking about reading the name and time on the post and running a counter. Then deleting the posts if they are above the limit.

Sounds like a bot could do the job. Counts submissions in a rolling 24 hour period and fires a report off if someone goes over. Or it even deletes the post itself.

Wow dude. You pissed off every faction at the same time. That's impressive.

The FEC knows if they tried something SCOTUS would shut it down in a second.

To be fair, this specific royal family serves in the military and does not shy from front line duty. Although they kicked the last one out for marrying a divorced mixed race woman. So there's that too...

He's saying the hard counter is to tell people the vote is secret. They can vote their way and then tell the person offering cash anything they want to tell them. They are under no moral obligation to tell such criminals the truth.

Elon Musk is finding this out in Arizona and Pennsylvania right now and it's hilarious.

They technically qualify. All the franchises do. Yes it's cursed. Especially when it's time to hand out SBA funds. Remember the pandemic? All the small business money got sucked up by franchises and large money cap/small employee number businesses.

Thankfully that's not true. They have killed far too many, and targeted them too. But they haven't killed all the helpers.

I'll have to do more reading but it looks like it's contemporary to the Libertarian Communist writers and maybe, hilariously, a parallel attempt to unify anti-statist socialism and communism.

Putting this here mostly to help my memory and have a searchable comment on my history. Proudhon referred to himself as a Mutualist, an Anarchist, and later a Federalist. But not a Libertarian. Left Libertarianism obviously has cause to reach back and claim him but those writers came later, and not as some claim, contemporary with Marx. It is fair to say LL has it's roots in the first international, but it is very much an evolution of left Anarchism, not an origination of left anarchism.

That's great. In one language. France also calls potatoes ground apples. But we don't directly translate it. We use the words from the thinkers of communism. Which are Communism, Socialism, and Anarchy.

In French it goes back to antinomianism. In English it goes back to the free will debates in religion and political philosophy.

It hasn't been a standardized label used by political thinkers until the early 1900's though. The Wikipedia article is just plain wrong unless it's the French language page. Which it isn't.

Guys I understand there's big stuff going on in the world. This community though is really just about finding other communities. For now, on the theory that people kind of forgot where they were, some temp bans were handed out. I have no pretensions of this being c/news or something. But I also have no pretensions of this being c/news. It is absolutely beyond the pale to post your political broadsides here while people are trying to figure out the best place to have their community. The only way politics is acceptable here is if you're talking about opening or moving a community about politics or because of politics. And it should absolutely remain civil. A simple, "I don't like your ideology", is enough here.

Here we go again.

The Biden administration wants to set up a deconfliction line with China in much the same way they set one up with Russia during the Cold War. They're also signaling that future cooperation may come in the financial sector or by refining sanctions by tapping the Treasury Secretary as one of the next US officials to meet with Chinese leaders. The Commerce Secretary may also be about looking for a ways to offset the US bringing chip production home.
