Ive actually been on the lave flows in Hawaii. Not catch your shit on fire hot, but where the surface was noticeable warm from the lava underneath.

Pele's hair I think is one of the coolest things you find. https://www.nps.gov/havo/learn/nature/peles-hair.htm

The lenient sentencing is being done while biden is pres. Sure Trump might pardon the traitors if he wins, but they haven't exactly been punished very harshly for the treason they committed.

I mean for that, my phone works fine. I set the bixby button to turn on\off the flashlight. Single button on off always on me. Of course being programmable, you could program a simple on off as well on the hex.

I used the hexbright camping and stargazing. The hold setting is so dim its useless unless you're in pitch black and just need to see the star chart. And you don't want bright as it takes at least 30 minutes to recover your night vision after a bright flash so that's what my use case was.

Wait, you just described working in retail. What were you doing before?

I don't really use reddit anymore but I have an android app called stealth that lets you browse. Can't login, but for web links and such its much better than old.

You can subscribe to subs as well, but you can't reply.

In the mid 90's a whopper was a buck. That's a bit over $2 today with inflation. I think whoppers are like $7-9 now. Sure compared to rice and beans it was probably expensive back then too, but not what I'd call incredibly.

I have 2 Hexbright flashlights. They're programmable so you can make it work however you want. Really wish the company went beyond the kickstarter because I'd love some different models with the same customization.

I have mine programmed where from off hold=as low as possible. Then standardish 3 brightness, starts at low first click. Hold button while on for turbo. But my favorite part is if you don't click the button for 5 seconds, the next click is off instead of the next brightness. Saves your night vision not having to cycle through high to turn off.

Was it ever tested in court before? I thought Disney dropped it before it could. But uber seems to have so far prevailed in forcing arbitration. From an eats order their daughter agreed to, vs them using uber taxi.

I by default have hide read and mark read on scroll and browse new. Sometimes a post that I want to go back to gets marked as read, and it seems the only way to show the posts again is to dig through the settings and disable hide read. In the action bar, there's a hide read option. Is there any way to put a show read as well, or have the hide toggle depending on whether read posts are being hidden or not?

Edit for solution. Ended up being the cpu. Bought a 5600x that worked flawlessly, and my 5900x was still under warranty. Just got the replacement back from amd and it's also working good.

Longshot here, but maybe someone can help.

PC either hard locks or blue screens. Ryzen 5900x 32 gigs ram 2080Super EVGA 750w power supply

Did all the driver suggestion online. SFC memtest etc. Stripped down to single stick of ram, tried both individually in different slots, GPU and ssd. GPU and ssd have been used in another pc without issue. Windows 10, 11 fresh installs. Tried pop os locked up during install twice. Just replaced my motherboard and the boot ssd and it was working for a few days, and is now doing the same lock up or dpc_watchdog. At this point, the only hardware that hasn't been swapped out to test is the power supply, cpu and case. And I've disconnected everything from the case save the power button.

I've been building my own pc's for over 20 years and have never encountered such a difficult to diagnose problem. Could it be the power supply? CPU? This is 90% brand new now and still giving me the same issue.

Just got this email from the senator.

In response to Oregon’s recent storms and weather events, the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) has made a waiver available to impacted households to request replacement SNAP benefits through February 16, 2024.

Oregonians who qualify for food assistance can now request SNAP benefits to replace food they had to throw out due to power outages related to the storms that occurred from January 12, 2024 through January 17, 2024. Replacement benefits can be requested by phone, email, or by visiting a local Oregon Department of Human Services office.

This waiver applies to households in Benton, Clackamas, Columbia, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Washington, and Yamhill counties, and more information from ODHS can be found here.

When widespread power outages hit our communities, families have enough struggles to deal with without losing out on food they can’t afford to replace.

I’ll keep working to help Oregon recover from these storms and to fight for working families across our state.

All my best, Jeff

For example I'd like to browse all of the gaming communities at the same time. !gaming@lemmy.world and !gaming@beehaw.org etc. Something like all or local but for custom user created groups. This wasn't really an issue on reddit, but would be useful the way lemmy works.

Never got this warning on the reddit version. Its a Samsung S10+

Currently running Kali on my laptop as that's all it was used for. Looking for something more general purpose. Mainly steam for light gaming and being able to install the tools from Kali for stuff like tryhackme. Mostly familiar with Debian, as that's what Kali is based on, but willing to try something else. Laptop is this Acer.
