IMO the guy kind of has a point but mostly not.

Take website builders like Squarespace and stuff like that, you can be super good at using the tools to generate an excellent looking page and do it in a fraction of the time it might take someone else. Sure its a skill, one you probably spent time and effort developing, but it doesnt make you a web developer and if someone uses the tools to exactly copy your work pretty much exactly, yeah that sucks but your just using someone elses tools.

Or building a really cool and "unique" car using off the shelf aftermarket parts. Theres literally nothing stopping someone else just doing the same thing using your car as a template.

I get the "why" he is upset, but... I dont care.

Good Evening Sir, Welcome to Lemmy. We dont do escapism or banter here. Please feel free to enjoy any of our flavours of outrage. The "software privacy" is quite popular, we are quite well known for billionaires and capitalism, of course we do a range of modern outrage classics including American politics, environmental issues and American healthcare which let me assure you isnt just for our American customers.

The specials board currently contains a lovely selection of Shit Israel has done, Shit Musk has done and Companies making money off advertisements hate you blocking advertisements.

Can I start you off with some I dont own games I buy on Steam! or perhaps some advice on why Linux is superior to literally everything.

Except you cant use that one to dothe crumbly ground beef trick. They are good if you only ever use them to mash potatoes.

[–] Delphia@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Not just A potato masher, its THE potato masher. If you dont have that thick af metal wire one you have an inferior potato masher.

Great, now he and I have something in common.

Edit: her looks are about the least offensive thing about her, sorry. The terrible person is pretty hot. If it helps I'll wipe my dick on the curtains and give her a fake number.

Oh, Hello voice of common sense. Been a while!

Going into subs about a specific topic to troll should get your shit removed.

I didnt know this until recently either. Its interesting once you start to read the ingredients breakdown on things that have "Protein!" on the label only to realise that (like on the oats I dont buy anymore) it had 4 grams per serving of protein more, but it was just added wheat gluten which has a PDCAAS of .25 so like an extra gram of protein thats actually useful for muscle building...

I hate to be all "ackchually" but wheat protein kind of sucks for muscle building. Its only about 50% as digestable and effective as the best sources, its still a better source than processed AF white bread if you cant give up the sandwiches. A great many "protein enhanced" things like oats just dump in a bunch of wheat gluten.

It still mostly counts towards your daily goals for average people but anyone looking for "gains" should be aiming to get 50% from "high quality" sources like milk protein, eggs, meat and soy.

I saw an interview with some exercise scientists talking about studies done on people who lived in rural less developed environments, think shepherds in developing countries. The studies indicated that while they may do 30,000 steps a day their body physiologically adapts and changes their movement paterns very quickly to use the absolute minimum amount of energy possible to move around. So their energy expenditure was more like what someone who walks 15,000 steps a day of stop start a day.

Id love to do it.

Where did I leave my grinder?

For me "How long could I get away with driving like an ABSOLUTE ASSHOLE all the time before I lost my licence or had an accident." Speed limits, red lights, stop signs... forget them all. Every day I have to drive sensibly and obey the law because without my licence I dont have a job, and every day I see at least one person driving like an absolute moron and I wonder...

Its probably the most delicious thing that's ever been cooked there.

This guy has only made 4 videos so far but I want more. I just wish he wasn't shooting in TikTok format.

Forget practicality and cargo bikes, the utilitarian fat tyre commuter ones too. I want to see what this community thinks the ones that look badass are.

(Excluding concepts please)

They risk our infrastructure and they steal or extort billions. I wouldnt feel bad if I read "Scam phone center destroyed in mystery explosion"

Got my bloods done and my Testosterone levels are LOW. I'm working out a lot and kind of pissed Ive been doing it on "hardmode" for god knows how long, but before I take the doc up on the script I'm doing my due diligence on the realities. It seems like every article I find is either written by a trt clinic or is a one sided hit piece. So Im after some real world experiences.

My current favorite is "Phillip Mypants"

Just asking, is starting a new character now going to leave me annoyed and feeling like a little brother tagging along or is new character progression pretty forgiving?

Even though the Narwhals bacon shit was cringe as hell.
