Nah, I think it would make more sense to spread rumors in left wing spaces. Worked on Al Franken.

Those of us on the left have a serious problem with instantly excommunicating anyone accused of sexual misconduct. We don't wait for all the facts to come out, we instantly disavow them.

And then, in the worst case, we start attacking anyone who calls for having a level head.

It's always the same argument. "This objectively bad thing for consumers is actually good for consumers because it allows us to offer a lower price!"

No, dipshits, you are choosing to make your product shittier than necessary and charging customers to undo your shittery. That's not some external thing, it's something that you chose.

Yeah, a roommate of mine who was a crazy awful bitch but she had EXCELLENT taste in music.

One time she decided to punish us for god knows what slight by playing really absurdly loud music. Kinda backfired because when she finally stopped I texted her asking her to turn it back on.

I have an additional question: are you even old enough to vote?

[–] Cryophilia@lemmy.world -3 points 1 day ago

It's literally not actually. All political ideologies are capable of genocide when taken to extremes, and many have done so. Colonial America, Stalinist Russia, too many absolute monarchies to count...none of those were fascist, but they were genocidal. We associate genocide with fascism because of the Holocaust, but they're two different concepts.

I swear I've seen this same thing, word for word, by a different username.

I disagree with your conclusion that either money makes you depressed or everyone is always depressed.

$250,000 is the FDIC limit for insurance.

Funny enough, California has a very progressive tax system, and has higher than normal income inequality but a higher base standard of living than the rest of the US. I think having an economy with more opportunities for people inflates everyone's income, including the rich.

But it brings up a question, if everyone were to have a decent standard of living, is it as big a problem that rich people exist? Obviously we're not there yet, but hypothetically in a post scarcity world, it's an interesting thing to think about.

How much do you make, and how much goes to taxes?

Bonus question: how much would a company have to pay you for you to give 100% effort at work?

Aside from racism. I mean economically/socially, what issues does too much immigration cause?

.

You have all the powers that Putin currently does. Everyone completely loyal to Putin is now loyal to you. Enemies of Putin are enemies of you. Putin no longer exists, and there has been a clean and absolute transfer of power to you. The economic, military, social and political situations are the same as they now are. You are not inhabiting Putin's body, you are just you. You're magically transferred to the Kremlin. The world at large doesn't know your past life, to them you have magically appeared as the new ruler. To everyone who knew you before, you just vanished.

Edit: no one knows your past life YET. They'll quickly figure it out. You will not lose any support based on your actions in your past life.

Especially for those of us with no coding background, who can't just build/edit an app.

For example, I like using Gadgetbridge to replace my fitness tracker app: https://gadgetbridge.org/

It's not nearly as full-featured as a regular fitness app, but it literally can't connect to the internet so there's no way anyone can get my health info.
