Did he leave other food at the table? This almost seems like one of those social anxiety things where he was worried it would get thrown out if he left it on the table

I'm mostly looking for people to play games with on Steam. It would be nice to have someone to play co-op games with or even just know someone in a multiplayer lobby.

I only really have a couple friends and we haven't talked in months.

I'm wondering if there's a community out there for finding people to game with or more broadly making friends? I tried search some related buzz words but couldn't find anything

I had no idea. I thought it would be funny because of how absurd it is

did I read too much into this because this is shitty million dollar ideas and not million dollar ideas?

It is a kind of joke community. The premise is basically items you'd pitch in a surreal fever dream where you're on shark tank.

Some examples I just thought of are a bladeless lawn mower for people who want to give off the illusion their artificial grass lawn is real to trick their neighbours and selling disposable latex gloves in a Russian nesting doll style package where they're all inside each other so people don't need to buy multiple boxes of different sizes

Do you have an example of apps designed for creating bootable media switching to a paid model?

Thanks for explaining. I didn't know it went unmaintained for a while. I thought programs like balenaEtcher and Rufus might have other issues I was unaware of like certain OSs not flashing correctly

That and verifying the checksum are the big reasons I can think of. I feel like for the most part though using something like balenaEtcher is so much easier.

Going on a vacation but still need to annoy the people downstairs? Attach a thumper to the floor and know your responsibilities are taken care of

I feel like this works on multiple fronts.

  1. It gives off big tough guy targeted shirt energy that's bound to give them a rush beyond what a white Monster can offer and will surely impress the waitress at Chili's.

Example of the targeted shirts I'm talking about:

  1. It hits people with the anger than immediately follows up with the confusion. "Shouldn't the mom be riding them?" "Is this implying my mom is into pegging?"
  2. Harley Davidson is the Supreme of middle aged dads and they'll buy whatever has their logo.

Thanks for the suggestion. That does really neat and I think I'll check it out.

The VCLauncher looks like it might be able to help the game run on modern operating systems so I think I'll see if that works.

How long ago was that?

I've played a fair amount of Rising Storm 2: Vietnam and had a fair amount of fun with it. I liked the jungle combat that added some stealth elements and weapons that were present.

To be clear I don't mean to sound insensitive. I know about the Vietnam war and how distasteful a hero shooters around it could be.

I can already see cops profiling bee keepers

Maybe there could be a whole line of bee theft protection gear. Imagine a subwoofer that plays a low buzzing sound or fake hives for the passenger seat.

Hopefully to make it stick on contact

One of these full of Axe bodyspray and disinfectant for high schools

Need something uncomfortably sticky in a hurry? Try the stickinator.

The plan is to replace the disinfectant with Kool Aid and the UV light with an Easy Bake Oven bulb. With people being less cautious of COVID 19 these devices are probably getting cheaper and what modern consumer doesn't love brand crossovers?

I originally posted this to !shitty_million_dollar_ideas@lemmy.dbzer0.com but I feel like it would be a better fit for a writing prompt. I feel like there's plenty of chances for humorous situations like Jesus wearing a noticeably fake beard and production staff getting people to sign NDAs.

Some people at work were kicking up toilet seat lids and angering the people doing work on the other side of the wall. It made me think about the Lunk Alarm but then I realised it would probably go off if someone took a loud shit.

I've attached a link to what the Lunk Alarm sounds like for those that don't know. It's pretty close to an air raid siren that's triggered by noise.

You can check the emulation wiki and see which ones they recommend. I'm not sure which are available on F-Droid but most of them are available through a GitHub page

I watched the 2007 version of Funny Games and Alien Nation.

I didn't think either was that great. I'm wondering if 70s movie called Funny Games is better.

Alien Nation was a somewhat generic buddy cop film with an alien being one of the cops and the other being a bigot. The whole movie feels like a not so subtle metaphor and the actual aliens don't really have a unique role or identity.

I found the image on Reddit while looking for demon core memes but because of Reddit's VPN block I can't give proper credit.

Wikipedia pages for those that don't know:

Bonus Plainly Difficult video for those who want to learn more about the Demon Core incident. It's about 10 minutes long.

Both seem in vogue with boomers. So why not get the best of both and be the talk of the BBQ?

Maybe the text could be altered to include reference to wearing the shirt versus copying and pasting text.

The I ♥ NY shirt is so incredibly popular you don't even need to travel to New York to get it and it's been ripped off around the world.

But what about people that don't ♥ New York?

It's an untapped market. The attached image is an early draft. What does it mean to tolerate New York? I don't know.

Another version could say I Am Indifferent Towards New York.
