I remember a long time ago some developer said it out loud, something along the lines of "we don't have to worry about the opinions of hardcore gamers because they'll buy the game anyway. we're trying to capture more of the market"

Did you know that the residue from smoking cigarettes causes more of the fibres to be stuck to your lungs? The effect of being exposed to asbestos while a smoker is exponential, i believe it's 90x more likely to cause an asbestos injury (cancer is kind of the least likely way to die from asbestos)

I will stop using karen but in my social group we've used it to describe masculine presenting people who are rude to customer service too.

So it's now undeniable that I've had serious and untreated ADHD my whole life. I'm in my mid 30s what would being medicated realistically feel like for me? (hexbear.net)
 

Every screening and official diagnostic I've taken has me scoring max ADHD points and every time someone describes a symptom I'm left confused that other people don't have them.

Will my personality change? I feel like being a disorganized disheveled loud interrupter is most of my personality at this point idk.

I've never done any stimulants beyond drinking a million coffees per day so i have some anxiety about this

Would someone please help me understand when using "they" as a catch-all pronoun is transphobic? (hexbear.net)
 

I've seen a few posts recently calling people out for using "they" when referring to someone with gendered or neo pronouns.

As a long time dumb guy I was under the impression that gender neutral pronouns were basically always acceptable and I'm now concerned that I have been unintentionally making people uncomfortable.

My current understanding based on context is that once someone has made their pronouns known, unless specifically included, 'they' is no longer acceptable. Thank you in advance for taking the time to help me out

My child is AMAB but isn't even old enough to talk let alone express an identity based on societal gender norms. That being said almost everyone we meet will refer to them with she/her pronouns until they hear the name which is typically male coded. More often than not they become very apologetic even though I don't really care at all. As I say to them "he doesn't seem to mind either way" with a smile.

This has me thinking, however, about how to handle this situation in a way that, when old enough to understand, shows my child that they get to decide how to be referred to, not other people.

Any thoughts or opinions?
