Global heating particularly increasing risk of death from smoke inhalation in Australia, South America, Europe and parts of Asia

Global heating is causing more of the planet to be burned from wildfires and probably killing an extra 12,000 people a year from breathing in smoke, according to new research.

Global heating was particularly increasing the risk of death from wildfire smoke in Australia, South America, Europe and the boreal forests of Asia, one modelling study found.

A separate study said between 2003 and 2019 global heating had increased the area of the planet being burned almost 16% but other human actions, such as clearing forests and savannahs for roads or agriculture, had lowered the total burned area by 19%.

Both studies, published in the journal Nature Climate Change, teased apart the effect that adding greenhouse gas emissions to the atmosphere was having on wildfires, compared to other human actions such as land clearing.

Research at the Francis Crick Institute could lead to new drugs to counter progress of diseases like Alzheimer’s

British scientists are about to launch a remarkable research project that will demonstrate how the air we breathe can affect our brains. This work will be vital, they say, in understanding a major medical problem: how atmospheric pollution can trigger dementia.

In recent years, scientists have discovered that air pollution is one of the most pernicious threats to human health and have shown it is involved in causing cancer, heart disease, diabetes, low birthrates, and many health conditions.

Now scientists at the Francis Crick Institute are to look at its involvement in the phenomenon of neurodegeneration through a research project, titled Rapid, which is being funded by the charity Race Against Dementia and will be launched tomorrow.

Hospitals, doctors and other health providers claimed the insurer underpaid them and increased cost of insurance nationwide

US insurer Blue Cross Blue Shield has agreed to pay $2.8bn to resolve antitrust class action claims by hospital systems, physicians and other health providers alleging they were underpaid for reimbursements, the plaintiffs said in an Alabama federal court filing recently.

The settlement is the largest ever for a healthcare antitrust case, they added.

Blue Cross Blue Shield denied the allegations in a statement but said it agreed to the settlement and to make operational changes to “put years of litigation behind us”.

This year’s flu shot will be missing a strain of influenza it’s protected against for more than a decade.

That’s because there have been no confirmed flu cases caused by the Influenza B/Yamagata lineage since spring 2020. And the Food and Drug Administration decided this year that the strain now poses little to no threat to human health.

Scientists have concluded that widespread physical distancing and masking practiced during the early days of COVID-19 appear to have pushed B/Yamagata into oblivion.

The exact nature of long COVID is still coming to light, but we just got some of the best evidence yet that this debilitating condition stems from a brain injury.

Using high-resolution scanners, researchers at the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford have shown microscopic, structural abnormalities in the brainstems of those recovering from COVID-19.

Signs of brain inflammation were present up to 18 months after first contracting the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

"We show that the brainstem is a site of vulnerability to long-term effects of COVID-19, with persistent changes evident in the months after hospitalization," the authors of the study conclude.

***High blood concentrations of ‘forever chemical’ compound PFOS linked to problems falling asleep and waking up ***

Some of the most common types of PFAS may cause sleep disorders in young adults, new research finds, and the study’s authors for the first time identified how the chemicals probably impact the brain to cause disruptions.

The peer-reviewed University of Southern California (USC) study looked at PFAS levels in the blood of adults between 19 and 24 years old, and found those in the highest one-third slept an average of about 80 fewer minutes nightly than those in the lowest third.

For PFOS, a common compound, high blood concentrations were linked strongest to problems falling asleep, staying asleep, waking up or feeling tired during waking hours.

Pertussis outbreaks are at the highest level in a decade and doctors say many cases are going undetected — allowing people to spread the bacterial infection unknowingly for weeks.

The U.S. is experiencing more than four times as many whooping cough cases compared with last year — a spike that some experts attribute to post-pandemic vaccine fatigue.

“With the increase in vaccine hesitancy that has been going on since the Covid-19 pandemic, we’re seeing outbreaks occurring in kids who are not vaccinated,” said Dr. Tina Tan, president-elect of the Infectious Diseases Society of America.

Babies are given the DTaP vaccine, which helps protect against three diseases: pertussis, diphtheria and tetanus. The vaccine works well against diphtheria and tetanus, but is less effective over time for pertussis.

Hello, I recently made a post that I was tired and high and didn't really make a detailed you know post. Today I looked to bring you a detailed analyst and observations of fast track evolution.

I began fast, tracked to evolution about five years back. This was a process to not only heal my body, but enhance it.

What is fast tracked evolution?

I’m guessing we all know the process called evolution. A process that takes hundreds of millions if not billions of years. Through many generations.

Now, how does this relate to my fast tracked evolution? Fast tracked evolution is a process in which a person or power influences a specific growth pattern, matching evolutionary changes, but within grand spectacles.

How does fast tracked evolution specifically work?

Within my own experience, I found a grand power beyond human comprehension. Something that at first I didn’t have full belief in or it was an unconscious untrusting due to my background. Leading me to explore options that are normally seen as fantasy even in these contexts.

It wasn’t originally about being right or wrong. It was just about having fun and figuring new things out. Eventually, the prospect of experimenting with these powers ended up with me, actually utilizing them on my own body instead of others. Such as mine came out to be the most scientifically enhanced and accurate change possible.

Just as an evolution as an entity's body, bones and muscles all change in development. This is the exact same for me.

One thing to remember, there is no growth without suffering.

Evolutionary processes

The evolutionary process included Wing structures growing in my back non-mature feathers growing non-mature. And this was all the start of my graphs, such as my spinal cord started lengthening and strengthening. This felt like knives and popping sensations going in my back.  Along with tingling and extremely sharp pains.

This was the longest area of growth. It felt like my whole body was rebuilding itself from each individual fiber when I stood when I walked. Everything was excruciatingly painful. Eventually, this ended about before my arms changed.

No, for reference this was just about three years later from when my spinal cord began. It randomly popped one day and my entire body felt completely different; it felt younger or enhanced.

I was extremely high. As I took a break from marijuana for about 4 to 6 months. I decided to hop back on it and take edibles. I ended up getting so high that I ended up puking everything out of my system, and then when I laid down my arms, snapped off of my body, and I could taste the blood and feel blood all throughout my body. And I will fully admit I was honestly  scared at this moment.

I think that being high specifically made it more scary because I had more of an emotional reaction to it, and even though I was quite used to very intense growth going on, this was probably one of the most intense it’s ever happened to me.

After that experience, it came about that my knees disappeared specifically, my kneecaps got replaced by tendons and then slowly regrow into a more powerful and stable kneecap on both sides. My walking for a little bit was painful and unstable. The instability lasted longer than the uncomfortableness.

I also had my ribs begin to fuse and my rib cage extended upwards. I think this part was quite painful. I was high so it managed the pain quite well.

Currently, I have realized I am developing a coat of lift on my wings. As they are maturing and getting all the proper additions to utilize them, such as neural pathways attachments onto the scapula and sternum. I learned I can glide my arm after my wing muscles activated at least partially.

How of these all relate

As you saw in that final paragraph, I mentioned connections and Neuro pathways. This is a really important part of the entire growth process such as the body modifications. If you look at proper evolutionary changes for wings and humans you would have to have such as stronger ribs and bones.  With extended muscles in the neck and upper body.

As the body produces the wings, the wing muscles will have to attach the scapula and places around such. These have to be strong enough to withstand the pressure to fly.

Thank you for reading this paper. If you wanna need clarifications or have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Edit: My psychiatrist has stated that I am not crazy in a mental way and my general doctor has been made aware but has not made any deeper comments.

The ready-to-eat poultry and meat products are being recalled by BrucePac, an establishment from Durant, Oklahoma

Almost 10 million pounds of meat has been recalled by the US Department of Agriculture following concerns they may be contaminated with Listeria.

The ready-to-eat poultry and meat products are being recalled by BrucePac, an establishment from Durant, Oklahoma, after tests found products were positive for Listeria monocytogenes.

According to the USDA, the items were produced from June 19 to October 8 and shipped to other establishments and distributors nationwide, before being distributed to restaurants and institutions.

UK pharmaceutical giant GSK says it will pay as much as $2.2bn (£1.68bn) to settle thousands of cases in US courts over claims that a discontinued version of its heartburn drug Zantac caused cancer.

The firm announced that it had reached agreements with 10 law firms who represent around 80,000 claimants. The settlements account for 93% of all cases.

GSK will also pay $70m to resolve a whistleblower complaint by a laboratory that alleged the drugmaker defrauded the US government by concealing Zantac's cancer risks.

A new report estimates that 40 percent of all cancer cases are associated with factors we can change—alcohol consumption being a prominent one.

A little bit of alcohol was once thought to be good for you. However, as scientific research advances, we're gaining a clearer picture of alcohol's effect on health---especially regarding cancer.

The complex relationship between alcohol and cancer was recently highlighted in a new report from the American Association for Cancer Research. The report's findings are eye-opening.

The authors of the report estimate that 40 percent of all cancer cases are associated with “modifiable risk factors”—in other words, things we can change ourselves. Alcohol consumption being prominent among them.

Six types of cancer are linked to alcohol consumption: head and neck cancers, esophageal cancer, liver cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, and stomach cancer.
